This is a very specific post for Sony EX1 and EX3 users (maybe other molds but I’m not sure).
Imagine you’re alone and filming a long event. There’s really nothing useful happening for your project except about an hour in (or was it 45 minutes?) one of your subjects says something interesting, followed by 3 more hours of nothing.
So usually to find that interesting moment you’d have to scrub through all the shots and guesstimate when and where it happened and on which clip. Maybe visual cues will help, but what if you’re filming a speech. That could be a lot of watching and listening.
What if you could mark that moment while you’re recording, so that when you’re looking at the clips in final cut you can see a marker.
